* Work with your counselor and your parents to establish a four-year academic plan to meet all core course requirements.
* Take a strong academic course load.
* Maintain good grades, preferably A’s and B’s in your core courses.
* Start community service hours.
* Develop good study habits.
* If you are struggling, take advantage of tutoring, online, and other services to improve academic performance and grades.
* Start prep for the SAT/ACT. Take SAT/ACT practice tests.
* Talk with your coach about opportunities to improve in your sport.
* Videotape your games.
* Keep records of your athletic achievements, extracurricular activities, etc.
